Fury of the Elements
The winds blow strong
The cold makes me shiver
Something is wrong
I stop the car and leave her…
Black clouds in the sky
The sun doesn’t shine
As if the heavens are ready to cry
With tears very different from mine…
For a moment there’s silence
No sound in the air
Then it turns to violence!
The skies above me flare…
Thunder and lightning!
Nature is furious!
It is so very frightening!
She’s trying to bury us!
The Tears of Heaven
Pour down on the land
The ground is leaven,
Forests turn to sand…
Fires are blazing
The end may be near
The sight is amazing
It provokes horror and fear…
Destruction is utter!
I’ve barely survived!
Around me there’s clutter!
I’m just glad I’m alive…
