The Bard’s Song

The Bard has returned
From lands far away
His songs long to be heard
His fiddle needs to be played

He’ll sing you a story
Of love and desire
It’s a song of glory
It tells of a still blazing fire

A boy met a girl
He’ll sing with a smile
she entered his world
And decided to stay for a while

with the warmth of her touch
And the sun in her eyes
A heart hurt so much
Now flies up in the skies

The Bard sings and sings
You feel happy and warm
And the joy his song brings
Makes you think of a picture back home

It’s of you and a girl
You’re holding her close
She’s like a shiny pearl
You feel as if in the dark she glows

Your lady in red
Your beautiful dove
Enough has been said
One more word – - – Love…
