A Heart on Fire
I stand on the corner
Looking around
The sun is shinning
Over the busy little town…
People hurry
To get here or there
But I am just waiting
For a lady so fair…
I look in the distance
I think she is coming
I can feel her presence
My mind is soaring…
A graceful walk
A smile so bright
I know she is close
My heart feels delight…
I’d kiss her
“I love you” she’d say
And those three words
I’d love to hear everyday!
I sense her perfume
She is near
I can feel her touch
To me she is most dear…
I am sorry friends
My angel is here
I have to leave you now
Before she appears…
I know I must stay
For there are things I must do
But I will not find rest
‘Till I tell her I love her too…
