Of Mind and Heart
How can a mind feel so warm when thinking about a person and so cold when thinking about another? How can a heart love only one in the entire world? Is the human heart really that small? Can no one else inhabit it while there is someone inside?
The truth is the mind and the heart are connected. Normally you would first feel love and then realize it is what you felt. But there is a higher state of mind. When you realize you’ll love someone before you have even met him/her. But if the heart does not feel unless the mind tells it too then surely there must be something wrong? This, however, is not so…
You see, the heart has no reason…no understanding…it doesn’t differentiate between characters, appearance or anything else. The heart simply loves and it loves what the mind tells it to. We come to the conclusion that the mind is superior to the heart. The heart by itself is unable to make anything out of the love it feels. It needs the mind to guide it. Therefore it is wrongly believed that feelings and thoughts are two completely contradicting terms. For love is nothing more than a thought going through the heart and merging with a feeling…
But if the heart cannot make a difference then why is it cold for one and burning for another? Because for the mind there are two kinds of people…There’s you…the one I love…and there’s everybody else…
