Star
By a flash of light
In the darkest space
I was born in the night
With the sun on my face…
With my light so bright
I shined in the dark
And with the warmth of my heart
I created spark after spark…
People adored me
They looked up in awe
For them I was free
And had not a flaw…
But one day I fell
Right out of the sky
Like under a spell
I just decided to fly…
Falling straight down
I waved the people goodbye
I could see them all around
Looking at me in the sky…
For I am a star
I bring people the light
And no matter how sad they are
They find strength to continue the fight…
