How do you know
If you are alive?
By the pain you have felt
Or the joy in your life?
How do you know
That you have a soul?
Is it something you feel
But cannot control?
Your soul is alive
It thrives and it sings
It flies while you sleep
On wings made of dreams.
It hums and it chants
An ethereal sound
A magical melody
A tune heard all around.
Your soul let’s you know
It is still there
And while you are still breathing
It won’t go anywhere…
