The Queen Is Praying

•February 24, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Across rivers and moors
Over mounts and vales
A castle stands proud
A building of tales…

With black stone on the walls
And towers piercing the sky
A platinum dragon on top
With wings spread to fly…

The land is Drakonia
Ruled by a glorious queen
With her loyal guard
The Dragon’s Thirteen…

Drakkar their leader
A black dragon’s heir
With eyes blue as the sky
And charred black hair…

They would serve their queen
Mighty and proud
Through life and death
Thus have they vowed…

When the castle is in danger
And the air battle brings
The Queen sheds a tear
And a prayer she sings…

The knights kneel down
Among clatter and blood
And sing with their queen
And the eyes with tears flood…

She sings of the land
She sings of the seas
She sings of life
And how death she sees…

The Queen is praying
The knights stand up
The Dragon’s Thirteen
Would never give up…

Twice as strong
They strike down their foe
They slaughter and kill
While the tears continue to flow…

* * *

Drakkar kneels to his Queen
The battle is won
He has many wounds on his chest
But he only feels one…

The Queen lays a hand
On the warrior’s chest
She kisses his lips
And his heart puts to rest…

Whoever threatens her
Shall see only death
He will fight for his Queen
Until his last breath…

Ballad for the Hero

In the light of the moon
Of parents unknown
With a heart of a hero
A boy was born…

He was named after the stars
Orion – they called him
With hopes that in life
The moon will guide him…

The boy grew strong
In both body and mind
He mastered the arts
Of combat and magic combined…

And one day he left
On a quest long forgotten
To find out what
On this world had brought him…

He walked fast with no rest
The Moon Temple – his goal
He walked mighty and proud
With destiny under his control…

There he fought fiery dragons
And bloodthirsty beasts
He fought Black Knights
And their dark priests…

And at the top of the temple
Covered in his blood
He raised arms to the moon
And on the ground thud…

The moon shone bright
And bathed the boy with its light
It carried him to the skies
For he was the Moon’s glorious knight…

And now at night
When you look at the sky
You see Orion
Willing to fight and ready to die…

The Dark Messiah

Ten centuries shall the fortress stand
Walls of spirit wrapped in walls of fire
And horned lords shall bow their heads
To one not yet born, of the darkest sire

One century of blood and strife
The moon shall darken and none know why
The resting place at last is found
Of the Seventh who soared so high

Last daughter of a forlorn line
Shall guide him into history
Beneath the crypts prophecies clash
The war of ancient enemies

Angels

I see angels in my dream
With white wings and pretty faces
With joy they beam
The sky, them, embraces…

I see angels with my eyes
They bring me hope and mirth
In shining guise
They deny sadness birth…

I see angels outside
Playing in blue skies
They see me but they don’t hide
And then all despair dies…

I want to go out
And play with them, giggling
Desire in me spouts
But something beside me is wiggling…

I see an angel in my lap
Peacefully lying
And with my love I wrap
The girl resting here, sighing…

She sighs for the sky
She longs to be free
She needs to fly
But her chains need a key…

She’s left the skies
To come down and love me
And to my surprise
She does not want the key…

” I’m happy” she said
Just being with you
Give me no key but instead
Show me your love so true ” …

Beautiful girl
Sent from above
You make my mind swirl
You’ll forever have my love…

Hacker’s Manifesto

The conscious of a hacker…

Another one got caught today, it’s all over the papers. “Teenager Arrested in a Computer Crime Scandal”, “Hacker arrested after Bank Tampering”…

Damn kids. They’re all alike.

But did you, in your ghetto psychology and 1950s technobrain, ever take a look behind the eyes of the hacker?

Did you ever wonder what made him tick, what forces shaped him, what may have molded him?

I am a hacker, enter my world…

Mine is a world that begins with school…I’m smarter than most of the other kids, this crap they teach us bores me…

Damn underachievers. They’re all alike…

I’m in junior high or high school. I’ve listened to teachers explain to us for the fifteenth time how to reduce a fraction. I understand it. “No, Ms. Smith, I didn’t show my work. I did it in my head…”

“Damn kid. Probably copied it. They’re all alike…”

I made a discovery today. I found a computer…

Wait a second, this is cool. It does what I want it to. If it makes a mistake, it’s because I screwed it up. Not because it doesn’t like me…

Or feels threatened by me…

Or thinks I’m a smart ass…

Or doesn’t like teaching and shouldn’t be here…

“Damn kid. All he does is play games. They’re all alike.”

And then it happened…a door opened to a world…rushing through the phone line like heroin through an addict’s veins, an electronic pulse is sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought, a board is found.

“This is it…this is where I belong…”

I know everyone here…even if I’ve never met them, never talked to them, may never hear from them again…I know you all…

“Damn kid. Tying up the phone line again. They’re all alike…”

You bet your ass we’re all alike…

We’ve been spoon-fed baby food at school when we hungered for steak. The bits of meat that you did let slip through were pre-chewed and tasteless. We’ve been dominated by sadists, or ignored by the apathetic. The few that had something to teach found us willing pupils but those few were like drops of water in the desert.

This is our world now. The world of the electron and the switch, the beauty of the baud. We make use of a service already existing without paying for what could be dirt-cheap if it wasn’t run by profiteering gluttons and you call us criminals. We explore and you call us criminals. We seek after knowledge and you call us criminals. We exist without skin color, without nationality, without religious bias and you call us criminals. You build atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, cheat, and lie to us and try to make us believe it’s for our own good, yet we are the criminals.

Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity.

My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like.

My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me for.

I am a hacker, and this is my manifesto.

You may stop this individual, but you can’t stop us all…

After all, we’re all alike…

Tune Up

Tune up your circuits. Check out your chips. Colors of light…Pulses of sound…All goes to One…
Tune up your circuits. Check out your chips. Because you’re going to live a long life. Check the identity card. It shows your code. Listen to the white noise in your ears. It fades away…
Reality is just a bunch of illusions. Check the pixels of them. Stop your radio for a second and tell me what you see and hear. Is not that the beauty of the truth? There’s nothing else but you. Pay your credit of life today…

Do the twisted dance again. Smile that fool to dance. See the theatre of pulses. ..Colors of light…Pulses of sound…All goes to One…

Learn distortion until you realize there’s nothing but the truth. We are born and we die. Tune up your chips and circuits. You’re going to live longer…

Moonshine

And the moon…the moon was shining on the sand. Soaked in blood…covered with bodies…full of debris. The sand on which a battle thousands of years in the making took place…

Two thousand years ago invaders came to the lands of the Vertigo tribe. Covered in mystery these shadowed warriors came out of the mist, massacred the tribe’s finest men and disappeared as quickly as they came. But they returned and this time they stayed. They enslaved the rest of the populations using women for breeding and sacrificing every boy to honor their gods. The girls they kept for themselves. The heritage and memory of the Vertigo was on the brink of extinction. For two thousand years the tribe struggled to keep their history alive. For two thousand years brave women hid they baby boys in the forests praying to their Goddess for their survival. And they did survive. Magical creatures lived in the forests of Vertigo. The tribesmen called them ‘demons’ for all things unknown to them were evil. But these creatures were old…they had the wisdom of eons for they were immortal.

They raised a child…the first of many…on who would lead the armies of Vertigo and liberate his homeland. They called him Salus – ‘Salvation’ and they granted him and everyone after him the gift of eternal life. For two thousand years Salus gathered his army until one faithful day…

The sun was red in the horizon. The night was closing in on the lands of Vertigo. Then the forests thundered and the armies of Vertigo poured on the invaders like raindrops in summer. Not losing even in the smallest bit their ability to fight after two thousand years of peace, the invaders quickly took control of the battlefield. One by one the men fell on the sands of their homeland kissing it before their last breaths left their bodies. By midnight it was all over. The invaders had won with almost no casualties. The cries of the women of Vertigo echoed through the darkness…

And then they disappeared. Just as quickly as they came two thousands years ago the invaders were gone…back into the mist never to be seen again. Vertigo was freed by the blood of its children…

And the moon…the moon was shining on the sand…

Mind Superior

You see it all around. People do idiotic things and seem to not notice it at all. They rush head first into action without even a hint of brain activity. Why do such things happen? Are people THAT stupid?

This cannot be true. There have been so many brilliant moments recorded in the history of the human race. People have come a long way from the idea of the world being flat to the exploration of the far reaches of the universe. They have created light when there was only darkness. They live and work in the harshest climates on Earth and yet they still act like total morons…

Human achievement cannot be attributed to an entire race. Single minds have been the catalysts and engines of progress throughout the ages. Champions of Thought have explored places only thought to exist in imagination while the rest of the human race was still exploring its own nostrils.

Those minds are the reason people still exist today. They are the heroes of an entire race. Quos Deus vult perdere prius Dementat! “Whoever God wants to punish, first deprives of Reason!” And those single minds have never been punished…

Song of Peace

•November 27, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Over peaks and vales
A song prevails
A woman sings
And peace she brings…

A song of glory
An amazing story
Of hate and love,
Of the heavens above…

She sings and sings
Flying on golden wings
Over high and low
Both fast and slow…

And the land below
Would wake up and glow
And the skies above
Would learn to love…

The peaceful sound
Would spread all around
And the world reborn
Will never be forlorn…

By a flash of light
In the darkest space
I was born in the night
With the sun on my face…

With my light so bright
I shined in the dark
And with the warmth of my heart
I created spark after spark…

People adored me
They looked up in awe
For them I was free
And had not a flaw…

But one day I fell
Right out of the sky
Like under a spell
I just decided to fly…

Falling straight down
I waved the people goodbye
I could see them all around
Looking at me in the sky…

For I am a star
I bring people the light
And no matter how sad they are
They find strength to continue the fight…
